IMPORTANT MOD POST! Event / Poll
What's this? Plotty glitches? You've come to the right place. Through the next while, NPCs are going to start acting outside of parameters. First, NPCs are going to start spreading rumors (good or bad) about the dead characters, eventually ending with NPCs actually starting a fight (either with each other or with a character that particularly pisses them off).
There will be more after that, but for now, that's what we're going to announce because we do have a fancy-dancy poll for you guys regarding the pacing! (Now you know why I'm not on the mod account.) We know that a lot of times in this game we end up backdating forever, so instead of having the rumors only last one week, we've considered asking you guys what you think about the duration of the "Rumour Has It" event. (No relation to the actual song, I just wanted to make a pop culture reference.)
So, now that you've heard about the event, which will start February 8th, 2013, now you get to decide how long it lasts until the next stage of NPC development!
The poll will end the day that the event starts and we will announce how long it will last officially on the same day. As for how the rumors themselves work, please comment in response to this post with the following form so that everyone can see what kinds of rumors they might hear from NPCs about your character:
Remember that at least one of the rumors should be true. They can be headcanon truths as well, it's up to you as a player. It's more fun if there's something to give credence to the other rumors right?
That said, have a great weekend! There will be something in relation to Valentine's Day announced a little later this month.

Character Journal:
Rumors (Minimum 3, No Max):
Her mother killed her baby sister with an earring then gave the earring to her.
She swallows metal flakes and doesn't get sick! Isn't that weird?
She took down an entire army by herself! Doesn't look like that's possible, right?
She was torn between leaving Elend for his half-brother because she didn't have much in common with Elend. His half-brother was crazy. Wasn't he?
She hears, or heard, voices.
She likes killing.
She didn't understand what someone meant when they flirted with her, so she asked the steward.
She's a noble lady.
She has abandonment issues. Don't get close to her and then leave.
She can jump twelve feet high without running.
She's thought about killing a beggar for his scrap of bread.
She keeps removing all the metal from her clothing. Wonder why that is...
She met her husband because she went to the best spot to read on the cat walk to look around, and he'd gone to get more wine. He tried to read during their first dance too.
(Most are true. Some are half-true, some are lies.)
